Health, Safety and Wellbeing is a top priority on our school improvement plan.

At St Stephen’s, we fully appreciate that true achievement springs from a foundation of excellent health and wellbeing. Guided by our core values—to BelongServe, and Succeed—we are dedicated to fostering an environment where every student feels secure, included, and cherished.

We believe that when pupils experience a genuine sense of belonging, they grow in confidence and joy, developing the emotional resilience needed for learning and life. Our wellbeing initiatives—ranging from peer support networks to dedicated pastoral care—nurture respectful relationships and nurture a warm, inclusive community.

Through opportunities to serve, students learn compassion, responsibility, and the importance of caring for themselves and others. Whether taking part in peer mentoring, charity drives, or community projects, St Stephen’s pupils are inspired to contribute positively both within school and beyond.

Finally, we want every child to succeed—not only in exams, but in their physical health, mental wellbeing, and personal growth. By offering a rich blend of sports, arts, mindfulness, and life-skills education, we ensure our students are equipped with the confidence, resilience, and character to thrive in school and life.

Explore this page to discover how St Stephen’s supports the holistic health and wellbeing of our pupils—empowering every child to belong, to serve, and to succeed.
