The health, safety and wellbeing of all children at Banks St Stephen's Primary School is paramount. A vital part of this is safeguarding and child protection. The person with overall responsibility for safeguarding is the Headteacher. If you have any concerns about safeguarding in school please contact the Headteacher, Mrs Owen, who is the DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead)

We also have three fully trained back-up DSLs: Mrs Mussell, Mrs Tennant and Mr Richardson.

Mrs Tennant is the school's Pupil Support Manager, who liaises with outside services and agencies to keep our children safe.

Mrs Mussell is our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). For more SEND information, please visit the SEND page.

The safeguarding link governor is Mrs S Robinson, who audits our safeguarding systems and processes at least termly. She then reports to the Governing Board. Mrs S Robinson is also a trained Mental Health First Aider for both adults and children.
