Subject Statement of Intent

At St Stephen's, we shape our geography curriculum to inspire our children about the awe-inspiring, changing world that we inhabit. From the basis of the National Curriculum, we have cultivated units of learning that are intentionally progressive, contemporary and place a firm emphasis on our fascinating local area. Our intention is that children build a firm foundation of knowledge and a bank of practical geographical skills which will equip them to consider local, national and international issues from a rage of perspectives.
